A Pregnant Woman, An Aged, And An Injured Walk Into A Bus....
Suppose you are sitting on the bus and all at once, a heavily pregnant woman, an aged individual, and a person on crutches board. No one around you gets up. Who do you offer your seat to?
The Commissioner offered the idea of simply getting up and seeing who would take the seat so the decision is not yours, rather, their's. It was also offered that a look/glance would be cast on the surrounding individuals so that someone else would also offer their seat.
Here, we look at the hope that people in general are not so selfish that they can bear to stand for a bit so someone who needs a seat more than them can be comfortable.
I think I would offer the same response. I can only do so much before it becomes other people's responsibility to be kind, or even just decent, towards those around them.
